The Northwest Justice Project provides free civil (non-criminal) legal services for people who cannot afford a lawyer in Washington.  If you need your driver's license so you can work and your license was suspended for one of these reasons, we may be able to help:

• Unpaid traffic fines

• Suspension due to a car accident when you were uninsured

• You have one or more convictions for driving with a suspended license and you still have unpaid fines even though the suspension period is over

In order for us to help, the court must have already ruled on your traffic citations.  The court can rule even if you did not come to court.  To find out if we can help you, call the toll-free hotline from 9:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. at 1-888-201-1014. 

We cannot help where a license is suspended for failure to pay child support or certain criminal traffic convictions such as DUIs.

What is Northwest Justice Project?

The Northwest Justice Project (NJP) is a statewide non-profit organization with 17 offices in Washington State that provide free civil legal services to low-income people.  NJP's mission is to provide high quality free legal services on priority problems to eligible low-income clients, either directly or through efficient and effective referrals.
