Quienes Somos

CDCVAS Housing Justice Project is a homelessness prevention project that enlists volunteer attorneys specializing in landlord tenant law to advise and represent low-income tenants facing eviction. HJP volunteers can also advise and educate on landlord-tenant laws, review leases and notices, communicate with the landlord or landlord's attorney and provide short-term legal representation in eviction hearings.

Información

Tenants facing eviction or with housing related legal questions should call our office directly to find out if they qualify for services. Upon qualifying, staff will coordinate an appointment with a Housing Justice Project volunteer attorney.

Due to COVID-19 we are not currently holding walk-ins clinics. For help, please call our office during regular business hours Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m - 12 p.m and again 1 p.m - 4 p.m and ask for the HJP Coordinator, or leave a message at phone option # 6 for a return call.

HJP clinics fall on the same day as eviction hearings. Appointments are necessary for tenants who do not have a hearing scheduled. Contacting our program as soon as possible is best.
